Istitch Digitizing needed a responsive, high-performance website that could clearly present digitizing services to customers across different time zones and devices.

The Problem

Istitch Digitizing provides embroidery digitizing services to customers across the United States and beyond, many of whom submit design files and expect a fast, straightforward quoting process. Their previous website was built on an older template that loaded slowly on mobile connections, displayed inconsistently across screen sizes, and made it difficult for new visitors to understand turnaround times, pricing structure, and file submission steps. A meaningful share of potential customers were dropping off before ever making contact.

Our Solution

Adhipa Technologies redesigned and rebuilt the website from the ground up, prioritizing speed, mobile usability, and a simplified path from landing page to file submission. Rather than a purely decorative redesign, the focus was on removing friction: clearer service explanations, an intuitive quote request flow, and pages that loaded quickly even on slower connections, since many customers browse and submit files from mobile devices between other tasks.

Our Approach

The project began with a review of the existing site's analytics and a walkthrough of the customer journey, from first landing on the homepage to submitting a digitizing request. This revealed that service explanations were buried below the fold and that the inquiry form required too many steps. The information architecture was restructured around three simple questions a visitor typically has: what services are offered, how much does it cost, and how do I get started. Wireframes and a component-based design system were built in Figma before development began, so both structure and visual design were validated early.

Challenges

Embroidery digitizing is a visual, file-based service, and a major challenge was presenting sample work and file requirements clearly without overwhelming visitors with jargon. Performance was also a constraint: image-heavy portfolio pages needed to load quickly without sacrificing visual quality, since slow pages were part of the original problem. This was addressed through modern image optimization and a component structure that only loads heavier assets as a visitor scrolls to them.

Implementation

The new site was built using Next.js with Tailwind CSS, giving a component-driven structure that kept the design consistent across every page while remaining easy to extend. Images were optimized and served in modern formats, fonts were self-hosted to avoid render-blocking requests, and the quote request form was simplified into a single, clearly labeled step. Every page was tested across common device sizes and connection speeds before launch, using Google PageSpeed Insights and real-device testing to confirm the experience held up outside a lab environment.

Key Features

  • Simplified, single-step quote request and file submission flow
  • Fully responsive layout tested across mobile, tablet, and desktop
  • Optimized image delivery for fast-loading portfolio and sample pages
  • Clear service and pricing explanation pages structured around common customer questions
  • SEO-friendly page structure with descriptive headings and metadata

  • Simplified inquiry process that reduced steps between landing and quote request
  • SEO-ready page structure supporting better long-term search visibility
  • Improved overall user experience for a predominantly mobile customer base

Lessons Learned

This project reinforced that for service businesses built around a single core action, in this case requesting a digitizing quote, reducing friction in that one flow matters more than adding new features elsewhere on the site. Performance also proved to be a design decision, not just a technical one: choices made early about image handling and component structure had a far bigger impact on load times than any optimization applied after the fact.

Future Scope

Istitch Digitizing plans to expand the site with a self-service order tracking portal for returning customers and additional service pages targeting specific embroidery machine formats. Adhipa continues to provide ongoing performance monitoring and incremental SEO improvements as new content is added.

Our old site was actively costing us customers who gave up before submitting a file. The new site is fast, clear, and finally reflects the quality of the work we actually deliver.
